Tippins Benchmarking Consulting was founded in 2006, to concentrate on high level corporate consultancy through the development of www.globalmeasuring.com, a unique online benchmarking tool for the global food services industry with experienced food service consultants.

Founder, Vic Tippins' career in the food service sector ranges from the kitchens of the Army Catering Corp through to advising some of the world's largest companies. He is a man with a mission to redefine best practice in foodservice contract management.

It all started in 1993 when he set up Catercheck Consultancy. In the early days the firm derived income purely from the savings that it generated for clients. Over the 12 years, the National Audit Office, Lloyds TSB, and IBM were just a few of the clients who came to appreciate the firm's ability to rein in costs and generate new levels of service provision.

The key to Catercheck's success lay in Vic's intimate knowledge of the contracted food service business. He ran his own food service firm for many years before selling it to pursue his new passion. "I felt it was time to constructively challenge the foodservice industry's corporate approach to hidden earning, half-truths and poor service. I wanted to build a new business based on helping corporations get a better deal."

He is an innovator and entrepreneur at heart with an absolute commitment to "doing the right thing rather than the easy thing". This and his forthright way of communicating, ensures his success. Vic's mission is always to stimulate thought and bring transparency to commercial agreements.
